2018-11-10 at 2:53 AM UTC in Is getting on the bus (with Malice) some sort of code for suicide?Then you're in the minority. Most of us have DUIs, so the bus is one of our favorite (and only) modes of transportation. Hence all the jokes. Of course we ride trains, planes, and ubers as well :)

Transgender = disorder
Homosexuality = sexual preference
Bisexual = no sexual preference, promiscuity or Omni sexual or mental sexual or dissociative disorder
Lol sexual preference. I sure didn't choose to be attracted to dick. Or spaghetti. But I've got boatloads of both in my life now and have never been happier. -
2018-11-10 at 2:42 AM UTC in Why is it offensive to say that transgenders or homosexuals have a mental disorder?I said disorder, not disease. But you're right, homosexuality is not a disease just like schizophrenia isn't a disease.

Do you really need to shoehorn jedis into every post? It's something an edgy pimple kid would do. Do you also wear combat boots daily? -

Originally posted by Lanny I also kinda wish it wasn't a thing. Not because it bothers me, "Amy" is a lot easier to say that "Xiao" or what have you, I just think it's kinda fucked up that someone feels the need to change something as personal as their name to fit into what's supposed to be an open society.
Hah, I actually think that's kinda cute. I had a housemate in college who took the name "Evalyn" and she looked like she was 14 and the mismatch was funny and kinda endearing.
I feel like it started for business reasons then evolved into normal practice. Idk if you've ever shopped for English learning books but so many of them are business focused -

Those are the Asians who either got their name through marriage or had their last name changed when their family immigrated to this country to build railroads and noodle shops. People do not take on full names in language classes. I just spent like a month in Asia and I didn't meet a single person who told me an English last name. -

This is a good point, but there are a plethora of other disorders (mental and physical) that are benign, and do not need to be fixed. So I can't see how anybody could argue this from a rational perspective. Just take away the stigma of the word. -
