stop embarrassing yourself. i dont even speak english but i bet i can pronounce any words i see irregardless of whether i know what they means better than you can with chinese.
stick with your enspicadas, you spic.
I can't even talk to you. It's like you go off on some different tangent every time and completely miss the mark on my posts.
I was not bragging. The only one I knew before googling was gou and inu for 狗
I was specifically stating that it was difficult for me to learn Japanese, because my Chinese was not good enough. Let's look at the direct fucking quote yeahI tried learning japanese but the difference in hanzi is waaaay too fucking confusing for my level of Chinese.
Now shut the fuck up benny. This is a sacred place. My Chinese is still better than yours. I've caught you trying to pass off obvious google translate errors as chinese you wrote. All you do is google for a response every time I post Chinese. -
2018-11-29 at 5:31 AM UTC in What language should I learn?lol @ 'the Russian world'
But I think most languages that are similar are like this. Fuck, in China people from Harbin (up north) can't even understand people from the Guandong area down south. And they speak the same language, with the same characters. Chinese dialects are crazy like that. There's actually a market for Chinese to Chinese translators there lol.
But whatever. I don't need to worry about that. I'm just picking one or two languages to start studying. Going to buy some workbooks. For Russian I may take a formal class. I just wanna get the foundations of major regions, you know? If I learn basic Russian, it makes it much easier for me to meet other slavs and maybe learn something from them. Has been very easy for me to do this with Portuguese and Italian. I don't remember shit anymore, but it gets you further quicker to have a base upon which you can build. Who knows when I'll be working with an Indian, or Polish dude, or someone from Morocco?
Knowing something is always better than not. And plus speaking somebody's native language is awesome. It makes them happy as fuck when you show interest in wanting to learn about their language and culture. I got a level 1 fat stalker this way because she thought I was hitting on her everyday when I just wanted to learn more about the Philippines lol

We won't be having any of that now.
We could go the route of kava and add reverse tolerance. I believe the kavalactone responsible for this is kavain, which is an allosteric something something something something. It increases the amount of receptor sites though, which is pretty fucking interesting when you think about it. Imagine your drug addiction getting CHEAPER over time. -

Originally posted by gadzooks The field is still in its infancy, so it's really hard to speak in terms of technical protocol, but, for one, I would create a bunch more targeted dopamine receptors (because too much dopamine in the wrong parts of the brain == schizophrenia).
Then, I'd upregulate some custom GABA receptors that don't induce benzo-like amnesia, so as to be in a tranquil state for the experience.
Then, I'd start experimenting with inducing hallucinations (i.e. the "trippy/psychedelic" part of the whole experience).
And then, maybe I'd selectively upregulate AMPA receptors so as to form more connections during the experience, so that it stays with you and you can recall it vividly at any time for decades to come.
I like the GABA idea. GABAgadzooks. GABAg
I was trying to find this information on an opiate that was apparently non-psychoactive but still had some pretty decent analgesic properties. Can't find shit tho. Idk if anyone knows what I'm talking about, but I really wanna look at the mechanism for that right now. I really need to start taking notes. -

Do you deny that an intense psychedelic trip is a unique experience of the power of the mind? That's all it is. If you're getting your panties up in a bunch, you're the one with the problem. You've always been the one with a problem. Don't talk to me about Becca you fucking dick get out of my house. -

I'm not convinced you've ever seen a campfire. Or pee. You know pee isn't flammable, right? -

Right so the idea is that you're trying to get all the opiates off the seeds and into the tea, right? The alkaloids you want sit on top of the seed. The ones you do not want sit inside the seed, and release when the seed is broken or exposed to moisture. Go leave a few seeds sitting and you'll see the water turns a milky white.
So what do you do to get the alkaloids off without soaking the seeds? You do quick washes and stir/shake vigorously to ensure there is friction between the seeds. Dey gotta grind. I used to fill a cup with lukewarm water JUST above the seed line. Ideally you still want the slurry to be thick. If you use too much water then the seeds will not be aggravated enough to get all the alkaloids off, so the consistency is important.
Stir or shake vigorously for 3 minutes. enhancement water into cup. Then a 2 minute wash. enhancement water into cup. Give it a rinse, stir briefly, and enhancement water into cup. Put seeds into a rag, squeeze every last fucking drop out like the drug addict you are. Done.
I've noticed absolutely zero difference between this method and using an acid. Other, shittier methods I've tried have not been as good as with lime/lemon. Also be careful using warm/hot water as it makes it easier for the goodies to dissolve, but it also makes it easier for the seeds to open up and release their oils. You could probably stir for longer with cold water, but I've found it to not be anywhere near as potent (even with an acid) probably due to solubility issues.
I've done this method with lime many times before and noticed zero difference, so I think it's a pretty effective method. You do have to get an idea for how thick you want the slurry though. Go very slow when pouring water in.
I haven't done these in forever so I'm not sure what the market is currently like, but use my method on 100g and sip it slowly. I always used to start with 100g. Very rarely did it get me where I want but there were times I had seeds that I was doing like 60g doses of. Chugging 100g of that would've been not fun. Other times I was dosing a whole pound. Quality can vary GREATLY so it's super important to test every batch.
I used to do this shit daily but I haven't touched it for a long time now. It's super addictive. Considerably more than other opiates. So be careful. -

Originally posted by Misguided Russian Well, if you mean grammar and pronunciation, then yeah. But then a LOT of languages have crossover. For example I have good pronunciation in spanish and Portuguese because I speak Russian. The grammar of these languages is also easier to understand thanks to Russian. But they're unrelated languages completely.
I am fluent in 3 languages btw.
English, Russian, and....???
All these Slavic languages have the same root. I mean Ukrainian would probably be the better choice if I'm purely going off what will make learning other languages easier, but I'm not. I'm talking about Russian and only Russian, and it has a lot of crossover with other Slavic languages. Google says Ukrainian is about 40% different from Russian.
Я б хотів би тобі гамбургер (YA by khotel, chtoby gamburger)
Я бы хотел, чтобы гамбургер (YA b khotiv by tobi hamburher)
Get out of here with these Russian to romance language comparisons. You're being overly defensive of your language for a silly point. If I call Russian unique, will you unbunch your panties? -

how the fuck is this crossover?
Are you even serious. There's a lot of crossover. That doesn't mean it's exactly the same, word for word. French, English, Spanish, and Italian all have A LOT of crossover. Korean and Chinese have a lot of crossover. Even Arabic and Hindi have crossover. It is an inevitability of being close to another country.
Ukrainian and Russian (and all the Slavic languages) have very similar grammar systems as well. Can't say the same for some of the other comparisons I've listed here. If I ever wanted to learn Polish or something (probably will at some point so I can talk to my polish friend) then learning Russian beforehand would make it significantly easier, even if all it helps with is pronunciation. I know I can pronounce Japanese words A LOT better than my anime nerd friends who never learned a Sinitic language formally. I could probably pick up Korean very easily. -

Maybe learn Swahili, it's your sort of shit.
I speak Spanish and English fluently as first languages and can hold a conversation in Chinese, which I've been studying a year and a half. Recently I went to Asia for like a month and had a blast meeting and talking to people with my Chinese.
I know basic words in a few other languages. I will probably forget them. I'm just testing the waters right now and trying to figure out where I want to travel to next. I don't intend on traveling to a country without studying their language. I feel like you miss out on a lot of the culture. Plus it's just useful as shit, and a cool superpower, and for me it's fun to learn. I'd like to learn many other languages and visit many other countries. -
