Yeah I agree. I played the second one as well. Stopped out of boredom I think. I don't think horror games should have guns. It gives you too much power when you can simply kill things.
Games like Outlast absolutely make me shit my pants because literally all you can do is run and hide. Also, the new Alien game has been pretty scary so far, but I'm stuck on some item finding mission and can't figure out where to go or what to do since the level is split between three different tram stations (and thus, a loading screen.) Apparently you get a gun later on though. -

I don't think you all realize, I rarely get "high", and if I do it truly is an accident when trying a new batch. I HATE being put of control. Age is a major factor in nutritional value. This goes for everything from fruit to poultry. Yes, some stuff like wheat and rice is genetically fortified to be more nutritious, but they only really do that because rice and wheat are so un-nutritious that it wouldn't be good for people if it wasn't fortified, since our diets are so heavily dependent on them.
It's easy to think that "oh this is ripe now. It must be at it's peak" but fruits which are picked earlier have had less time to absorb nutrients. Ripening is just the appearance of amalyse enzymes and not an actual indicator of nutritional peak.
You could make a GMO food that ripens at a more natural pace, and it would probably be great. Best of both worlds. Size of current GMO foods with the nutritional value and taste of food from your home garden. But it would be less profitable, so they don't do that. It would put them at a considerable disadvantage in today's market. -

Those organic strawberries you get from your local farmer's market that are all juicy and dense and sweet? They're way more nutritious than the oversized big booty bitches you buy at Walmart. The very fact that you can taste and recognize the difference is your body's way of measuring nutritional value.
And now we're just tricking the shit out of ourselves with artificial and 'natural' flavorings instead. -

IDK how I feel about them. I mean it's absolutely made food more affordable, but most stuff at the grocery store is like, designed to make you want to keep consuming. Like when your body craves antioxidants and shit, maybe you will get a taste for grape (dat post-ingestive feedback.) So you buy a grape flavored drink. But there are actually none of the vitamins that are in grapes in your drink. There's just methylanthranilate and other flavorings under the guise of a proprietized "natural" flavoring mixture, which may TASTE like grape, sure, but it doesn't actually satisfy your body's nutritional desires. So you keep consuming and consuming all these sugars and fats and carbohydrates in an attempt to get the nutrients your food has long been stripped of.
But at the same time we have shit like fortified rice and great crop yields, and nobody in any western country has any excuse to go hungry. So in that way, it's great. Go back to the 1600's and not even the richest man in the world could have the bounty of shit I've got in my fridge right now.
Unfortunately, I don't ever see it changing from double edged sword status. There's no way concern over nutrition will trump concern over money, and the world is already used to all these artificial flavorings. Literally the only solution, it seems like, is to grow all your own shit. But even then you're probably using some sort of GMO seeds that will ripen quicker and grow bigger than a truly natural plant (thus, having less nutrients). I mean have you seen watermelons in the 1800's? There's a reason it used to be considered nigger food lol. -

Only 20% of Americans voted for Trump lol. 40% of voters are Democrats. 29% are Republicans. The only way a Republican ever wins is if Democrats don't show up. Which is absolutely not going to happen after Trump, if recent voting has been any indication. Trump has been a massive gift to the democratic party by dismantling trust in the GOP. This is why independents are now largely right leaning. Wasn't the case pre-Trump. -

Literally, if you read at all past the first sentence, you'd understand what they mean. Both in the wiki, and the source from your quote you've quoted, list several pheromones that have a studied physiological effect on humans.

By 'no true pheromones' they simply mean that they don't affect our behavior. It is considerably more subtle in humans than in insects for example, but there is still an observable, physiological difference.
