My father had these sayings that were like metaphors for life that I never really “got” when I was growing up..

Was one of those sayings I never understood until I became an adult…

An automatic rifle would be out of the rounds very quickly, likely on your first target.
A semi automatic you can shot one person, move to the next one shoot them etc…potentially shooting 15 people…you have control of each shot whereas an automatic is…automatic…
assault rifles are capable of firing just a single round even in full auto mode if you know how to use your finger.
a torso shot from a rifle round would probabky be enough to kill someone, while 2 or 3 pistol rounds are required to achieve the same effect.
