It's one thing to become an excellent debater, and to bury others, I've buried a few now and then, but when you see your friends in the thick of this shit in the hospital, a point of view becomes different than the shit we are bombarded with in media. especially when we never see that person again, and they took all the incredible stuff and information and kindness away with them. forever. 66 million is a whole lot of forever. -

Originally posted by Jiggaboo_Johnson There is no problem at all in being cautious however the way the country (and the world), and media has reacted over covid goes beyond being cautious, the CONSTANT "news" and finger pointing is scaremongering…which a lot of dumb people buy into and MANY do live in fear.
It's an irrational fear/response to what is still pretty much still an unknown and ultimately not a serious threat to the VAST majority of the population (.035% death rate so far).
I'm not an irrational person. I'm also not a person who particularly worries about dying. I base all decisions on the reality of the situation as it's currently known…again 0.035%…and again when it gets to 20% or so then I'll maybe be a little more "concerned" about it or feel the news/media/political coverage of it is pertinent..which it isn't at the moment.
Shit happens.
I don't get the news. No TV, no radio. I'm saved from that bombardment I guess. Internet, I have a choice. I don't have time actually when it comes down to it.
I look at people as libraries of experience.... And the human heart and compassion. This is why they are valuable to me.
Priceless actually.
I've seen kids with cancer act like older, experienced adults, when facing incredible odds and certain death, and I've seen adults act abominable and childish in comparison...
I've seen people change with an event, for the better, so drastically, you'd never know they were the same person...
When you see it like this, numbers become irrelevant. -
2020-06-11 at 3:37 PM UTC in US cases pass the two million markCool! I'ma check it out tonight, thanks... and yep, people want their head in the sand.... One trip overseas in some countries will cure that shit real quick. Or a good history book.
It's not fear.... BUT.... it's a good thing to be aware and prep, and wear a mask.... WE WILL LIVE though it and or be carriers.... but for some of us......
There's tons of elderly near the outskirts of where I live. When I go to anyplace, GREAT PEOPLE! I wear a mask out of consideration for them, because if one, or all died because of me..... hell...
It would be something that would be extremely hard to live with... -

And I already stated that it's the leading cause of death in America. Worse than heart disease, cancer, and automobile accidents. Not to mention there is a huge spike in other types of deaths from April-June that were not attributed to corona. So even WITH those spikes (that are probably caused by the damage from corona) it is STILL the leading cause of death.
I don't know how much worse it has to get for you to think it's serious. Will you think it's serious at 200k? 300k? 500k?
He said, wake him up when it's 66,000,000.
but....... we might not be able to wake him up...................................................................! -

What I don't get, is when people started to listen to tons of crooked politicians on ALL SIDES, (Dem and Reps both) over the doctors and nurses in the thick of it.
Because all of the politicians all have tons of medical degrees??? and while the doctors are out playing golf, lounging around, fuckin off!!!
While the politicians are busy on the front lines, deep in the bowels of all the hospitals, in blood up to their shoulders, really gettin down and dirty with this shit, finding the REAL VACCINE... And healing all the sick... yeah, yeah, that's it....... yeah.... -

It's getting that bad. it wouldn't surprize me if I tried it one day, lol..
but yeah, cactus is really good. tastes like green beans when eaten raw, and cooked it has a tangy flavor, and if you put habanaro or jalapeno, with some smoked steak salt and salsa, it rocks. ya gotta get the thin ones though. thick ones have all kinds of fibers that get in your teeth. -

Sex................................................................not in 10 years. Too fucking monstrous, ugly, and wicked for humans. after all, I'm the lowest of life forms.
Djinn do have their place on this earth, like it or not.
Still.... supper is divine today. Fresh Prickly pear cactus, just macheted, filleted and skinned, with ice cold water. -
2020-06-04 at 3:49 AM UTC in I've always wondered how a person would be if they were kept in extreme isolationWell, don't forget the 3 "R"s.... Rage, Resentment, and Retaliation. Especially if that kid ever gets out.
They only catch about 20 percent of the people who do this type of thing. There were 5 kids in an angular attic back in the 70's that had the same thing happen. the 13 year old girl was 3 ft tall. The rest of the children were younger. This was in the Chicago Tribune
Other children they find too late, like the girl chained to her bed since 6 months old. Some kids heard a noise, and they turned it in, and sure enough, a kid was there, in her own feces, locked to the bed. She died as they were taking her out of there. This was in the Orlando Sentinel. She was 6 years old.
Those were the ones I remembered immediately with proof.
I've heard of many other horrors in many other countries, Austria, Hungary, Romania, and the Eastern Block. Siberia, China, and all over Africa. In fact, Slavery is legal in Mauritania still. it's the last legal hold out. All other slavery is just traffick, and deadly illegal. The POW (DPAA) office in Quantico still looks for prisoners, and now trafficked people. Because of some of my friends being POWs, including my father, back in the day, Late 60's 70's 80's and 2000's, I ended up very occasionally helping from time to time when I was there. It's a friggin mess out there, and people even in this country disappear daily to traffickers. It was an honor to do so, and I wish I was still helping at times. I believe we really did some good, but still... overall, just drops in the bucket. -
2020-06-02 at 12:20 AM UTC in living alone kicks asNo checking in. 7 day fishing, to 7 month journeys, no questions, no worries.
No honey-do stuff.
What ever I wanna see i can see, from trips to movies.
If i wanna look up at the sky or the mountains for a few hours on MY day off, I fucking can without, "shouldn't you be doing this, or that?" echoing through your brain... -
2020-06-01 at 3:06 PM UTC in Ending racism the civilized way. What would happpeen..... if ...all of the sudden, everyone looked down one morning, and they all had 10 balls... not pairs n stuff, but like all in a row, or some cluster-like shit... what would happen then???? Women too... and all creatures, including ants n stuff.
Ants, draggin huge dust bunnies n stuff across the floor, because the balls caught it a little bit.

2020-05-29 at 8:38 PM UTC in Grocery store todayFarmer's Basil..... from Decatur Dairy, in Brodhead Wi.
Stuff is amazing. Light, savory, and plenty of fresh basil full leaves, it goes with much. There are amazing cheeses, as said here, but this one is a specialty, and is overlooked until you see it and try it. Also not expensive as far as cheeses go. It friggin should be, as the flavor is magnificent, but it's what it is.
Normally I go for peppercorn white aged cheddar, or a baked Opa, or the basil when I can attain it, but lately, I've eaten very little cheese, and my body it thanking me for it. Stuff's hard to get out here sometimes. It's still the United States, but extremely isolated town wise. Nearest full town is 60 mi.
I need to try Parm on my popcorn though. Never had that. -

Originally posted by CASPER Where the fuck do you get frozen fruit in the middle of the sahara? and they have mountains?
I'm stateside in New Mexico right now, working in the Chiricahua Mountains. also, In the Sahara, such as the town of Ad Dakhla, stores carry frozen fruit of every variety. Also, in the Oasis's along the great trail, Through Mali and Niger, there are little settlements here and there that will sell you frozen stuff for about the same price as here, which is terribly expensive there. The Dinar in Morocco and Western Sahara, is about 10 to the US dollar right now.
The Sahara, depending where you are, actually has some low mountains, and high hills, as well as massive sand dunes. There are ruins in those dunes that cover and uncover themselves all the time, so sometimes landmarks are hard to find... people, even experienced Bedouins, Maqil, and Berbers have gotten lost and perished in those sands... -
