When the cars had come to a stop, I pushed the unconscious driver off myself as best I could, he was still breathing, then kicked the passenger's door open and noticed blood pouring out of one of the knuckles on my right hand, which had struck a handle on the door during impact. Shaking the unconscious driver produced no results. I walked over to the other vehicle and peered in. A lone elderly man in his late '60's was sitting at the wheel, leaning back on the headrest, with his face full of blood, with a broken nose and teeth, and the bloody glass in front of him over the steering wheel was caved in like a big spiderweb. I shook the man several times, but he was out like a light and merely gurgled. He was breathing. Steam poured and shot out from from the passing car's radiator in giant clouds up into the night. With no communication device available, I finally decided my only option was to continue my journey and attempt to flag a passing vehicle. After several hours of walking, I was finally able to flag a passing policeman and explain the collision, who then headed directly to the scene. I myself disappeared into the dawn.
