I like that song too. Jidennas dad was like the ambassador to Nigeria or something he's cut from a silk cloth

What book is it? "When blacks attack?"

I need to write a book of short stories or I'll die.

I'd rather have my job of professional teenage rim recipient/sex dog trainer

Interesting stuff. It seems French people just love to protest against the status quo. I've spent far too much time around French people and have come to the conclusion that they're pretty hollow. If Le Pen(15) is elected they'll be protesting against her within a few months

Kween was such a good band I'd let Frederick mercury give me AIDS if they could have kept making music. I always thought "kicking your cat ass over the place" was unnecessarily violent imagery when "ass" would have worked better. Probably a thing about censorship and sporting events back in the day, idk I wasn't there but I'll ask Brian May next time I see him

Yeah I think it's master blaster/red who's a journeyman welder. I just wanna save myself some money and seeing how I'm going to be building a garage I should learn how to do it.

There is a guy around here with a mobile welding business who is my enemy because he wasted my time with an online listing for a piece of equipment so I'll try to incorporate a way to get revenge on him too

If you want to weld thick steel then a more powerful stick welder is best.

There are other types of welder, but they are more expensive.

The kind you suggested is exactly the kind I just bought. Now I just have to learn not to kill myself

It's pretty insane the way they are doing it is almost exactly like 1984: cameras at the front and back of houses, rationing food to them, "re-education camps", telling neighbors to rat on each other etc. They're providing the blueprint for what it will be like here eventually

Here’s the direct link: https://www.jahonline.org/article/S1054-139X(21)00568-1/fulltext which is also the first cite in the document the Fox News article was talking about, of the three I’m guessing jiggs has read none. If you don’t want to read the whole thing here’s the highlight:

I think that’s fair although it’s a more nuanced conversation that’s hard to have over the sounds of partisan screeching.

Hot take: if our society didn’t hold to repressive gender roles and you could just do what you wanted you’d get a lot fewer people screaming about pronouns.

Like it’s not a generally acceptable position on the left, but I do think a substantial level of transgenderism stems from a bid to use gender roles to legitimize their character. Like if you’re a dude that doesn’t fit the social image of what a man should be one response you can have is “well I’m a woman”, and the sad state of things is you’ll probably find more social support doing that then being an effeminate cis man.

So I think it’s totally legitimate to ask “is the increase in transgenderism a consequence of a deeper social malady”. But if we’re talking about a clinical setting where you have someone who’s expressed that they want a hormonal therapy, there is decent evidence that giving them that intervention is going to reduce their odds of depression or suicide. So if the goal of the medical field is, you know, reducing human suffering or saving lives then hormonal therapies are absolutely legitimate therapeutic options

That seems like a well funded and rather exhaustive study but they could have done a correlation regression analysis between other factors. The biggest factor in depression was parental affirmation (of the hormone treatment or of their gender identity) and they didn't see if this was correlated ,nor did they see how much of an effect gender based violence had on their depression. Idk why they didn't do a correlation analysis of these factors, maybe they did and didn't find them to be statistically significant idk. I haven't done stats in a while but those are just a couple things that stuck out at me.

I definitely agree that more treatment options for dissatisfied and depressed teens with identity issues need to be addressed. If we are going to talk about what kids benefit from hormone therapy and what kids are adversely affected by it (taking into consideration the general scientific consensus "don't fuck with a developing kids hormones unless medically necessary") then there needs to be more studies of the matter Instead of just anecdotes a out how Jenny felt better after getting a penis vs Timmy felt worse years later after cutting it off.

It's complicated because teens have so many inputs and developing traits, it's almost impossible to isolate and figure out what the cause is.

I'm going to buy a portable welder and teach myself how to weld. Does polepops know anything about it, cuz I sure don't. All I know if I'll end up saving alot of money because I go to metal fab shops alot

I can only see him running away. I've tried to see him running towards me but his body seems all wonky, specifically his arm.

    WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Why didn't he wash the apples in the river? Stupid

Originally posted by Lanny Well as mentioned numerous times, hormonal therapies do empirically reduce suicidality in people who identify as trans. Uhh so yeah, you’re just wrong bud, it’s a medical intervention that does in fact treat a condition.

Is there a source for this? I've seen like 50 articles that say 50% of trannys will try to kill themselves and like 15% succeed, never seen anything empirically that says hormone therapy objectively reduces depression.

I've got several friends who have either had hormone therapy or have had to take estrogen blockers because of adolescent steroid use. Before anyone tries to make a false equivalent I want to point out that THEY ARE FUCKED WITH HUGE NIPPLES, RECEDING HAIRLINES, EMOTIONAL INSTABILITY AND BODY DYSMORPHIA BECAUSE OF TAKING SYNTHETIC HORMONES AS TEENAGERS/YOUNG ADULTS

Taking steroids is kinda the Bro equivalent of playing God with your chromosomes/DNA too, the difference is science is working on regulating it but any "scientist" whose job it is trying to find a way to make confused teens more comfortable from a sexual standpoint is a wasted life.

There are root causes and systemic issues that cause effeminate teens to think they're a different gender but people don't want to have that conversation. Reminds me of this chubby girl who cut herself who used to hang around my buddy's place: she was raised by two lesbians and went 5o a private Buddhist school where you design your own workload and choose your own name. She had a breakdown in her late teens and realized she wasn't a lesbian and wanted to be kinda traditional but it was a scary, rebellious time for her. We talked about Lana del ray alot because she loved her and her traditional values and straight forward chamber pop hetero love songs. Her dyke moms hated her I'm sure and would punish her with Ani DiFranco
