Apparently people grazing instore is an issue. fuck they even have the 1.50 house brand batteries under glass locked case. Thank goodness I live in the white side of town. I use EAS towers and their prices on things like the securty tags and removers are awesome. I know some other here have small stores and such. I also bought one of their detacher hooks because every time I buy something from the mall or the dollar store over in the ghetto they forget to take the damn tag off then when I get home I'm like man fuck going back up town. So anyway here's my plug.

Yeah cut off the ford mounts and mock everything up with the chevy ones. I imagine the slotted ones they make for v8 s10 swaps would work pretty good.
You'd also end up relieveing the firewall for the distributor.
Creating a whole subframe with proper geometry,etc from scratch is a shit ton of work. I've built a few tube frames over the years and it was a pain.
I guess it kinda depends on what you plan to do with the car. I mean if it's just gonna be a drag vehicle you could tube the front and use a mustang 2 IFS setup.
I'm a chevy guy through and through, but you could stroke a 351 and run a T5 and have something killer. I'd recommend a ford 9 inch outback or a gm 12bolt, but there's really no reason not to run the 9 inch due to easier gear changes.
It just mainly hinges on purpose. If you were wanting to build something streetable and dependable hell I'd even consider a roots or centrifugel supercharger on a 302.
There's lots of options out there. Just remember the golden rule of hot rodding, " Speed costs money, how fast you wanna go?" -

Thanks for the link. If I decide to do a Ford model V8 it'll come in handy.
I'd recomend using their rear subframe kit at minimum. Fabbing up a front subframe will be a chore. You're also going to have to get creative on a SBC with the distributor clearance on the firewall.
