These results raise the interesting possibility that a decrease in 3H-imipramine binding sites may be a state-dependent marker in patients suffering from nonbipolar recurrent major depression.
Twenty-four hours after delivery, the child began to display several concurrent symptoms, including high-pitched crying, excessive sucking, poor feeding, regurgitation, sweating, frequent yawning, and sneezing. The first 2 Finnegan scores8 were ≥12, which led to suspicion of opiate neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
While no statistically significant difference was found between the morning (09:00 h) and evening (21:00 h) [3H]imipramine Bmax values in the control group, both the non-delusional and delusional melancholic patients showed higher evening than morning Bmax values, which were only statistically significant in the former. When both diagnostic groups were compared, the delusional patients showed significantly lower [3H]imipramine binding values than the non-delusional patients both in the morning and evening samples.
in adult animals subjected to prenatal stress (an animal model of depression) chronic T-PAIN treatment inhibited microglial activation (decreased CD40 and CD68 expression) in both examined structures. In conclusion, our results show that T-PAIN exerts anti-inflammatory properties suppressing microglial activation in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
Last study is unrelated to taking T-PAIN while pregnant, but it makes me wonder if T-PAIN is similar to opiates/other opioids in that infants with NAS end up having a lower average amount of immunomodulatory cytokines. They DO affect many of the same sites. Though even if this isn't the case, you have already provenly predisposed your son to depression and developmental delays.
More than that, you KNEW all this while you were pregnant. I told you about it. I linked you to the studies. You didn't care. Your selfishness took precedence over the health and well-being of your unborn son. I could also link to all the studies on prenatal exposure to tobacco/marijuana, which you also consumed while pregnant. But the negative prenatal effect of those drugs is WELL documented, so there's no need to post studies to show you are a garbage mother.

So I recently got promoted. Keeping my job ambiguous here, but essentially I'm one of three heads of a brand new dept. Soon, I'll be left in charge and it is mildly terrifying. I've always had someone above me who I could look towards for guidance. Now I'm the one people will be looking too. I'm the most knowledgeable one.
I think I know what I'm doing, but it'll take a while for me to feel comfortable doing it. The next week is going to be a bit nerve-wracking. Obviously I'm capable to have gotten this far, so it'll turn out okay, but that doesn't stop the possibilities from running through my head.
Part of me wants to quit fabulously. Just fuck everything up. Move around employee scheduling. Delete important files. Change passwords. Add devastating spam enhancements. Call up corporate. Report violations. Anything to annoy my boss, though unfortunately he wouldn't be the one fixing any of this, so it'd just be a dick move to my coworkers I do like. And also it's not worth throwing away the references on my resume.
Plan is to work this for a few months and then use this experience as leverage to get a new gig of equal or higher status. For now it's pretty shitty tho.
Anybody else have any experience of being put in charge of something you barely know how to do?

You should be doing cool shit regardless of what people do or don't do. You're literally like the people you described. Don't blame others for your lack of personality.

Honestly I don't think they should be prescribed outside of a hospital setting. Taking benzos for anxiety attacks is such poor mental conditioning. People should be learning to deal with their problems instead of taking drugs to escape them.
And of course, being prescribed an escape makes people think it's okay. Then they start to believe they need it, like they can't function without them. They need it to be 'normal' but nobody ever tells them that anxiety IS normal. Nobody sober walks around 100% carefree all the time. They simply learn to deal with their problems and overcome them in a healthy, real world way.
There should at least be a mandatory period where you need to have been with a therapist of some sort before they start doling out addictive, damaging drugs.

Many people find out later they have an MVP of the heart and this usually causes a lot of anxiety and panic attack attacks if the rate goes beyond normal.
Taking benzos daily, in general, is a terrible idea. It's absolutely insane that they're prescribed like they are. All these people who are stupefying themselves in the name of fear. Havoc on the brain too. Long term benzo users have a significantly increased risk of developing things like dementia and Alzheimer's.
It's almost as bad as giving kids amphetamines/methylphenidate.

Yeah you could, people do it all the time. A toothpick is discrete and disposable. You just don't hear about it because everybody who kills with a toothpick gets away with it.

Lanny, why do you allow jailbait like this? That one pic is really bordering the line of illegal with the context it's being presented in. Intent is written into 18 usc 2256

I was going to point this out earlier but NARC is too degenerate to care. I worked hard to get to the position I'm in at my work and I'm proud of that. This last promotion is my third one in the 7 months I've been here. When I leave this job and people want to call my previous employer, they will tell them that I'm a hard, reliable, efficient worker who has never been late or missed a day. Because of my work ethic, I know that no matter where I work, or what field I work in, I will be climbing ladders and leading people.
I'd rather make less money and be proud of myself than make more money by leeching off the government and selling drugs like NARC does. Also, bragging about money is pretty pathetic no matter how much of it you have.
