It felt like someone was laying on my chest that weighed 300 lb. I had X-rays done EKGs and they could never tell me what was wrong. I was working in a nursing home as an activity coordinator and an RN noticed I wasn't feeling well. I told her what was going on and she said that I had acid reflux. I looked at her like she was crazy I said it's not burning and I haven't eaten anything today. She then told me that there are as many types of acid reflux and that's what I had. She said here take this pill and in 15 or 20 minutes you're going to feel better. I thought yeah right it can't be that easy. 20 minutes later the pain totally stopped. I must have hugged her and literally cried because I couldn't believe something that's simple could have been fixed so easily. The pain that I have been feeling for 35 years at some point I thought I was dying that's how bad it felt and what was worse no one can tell me what was wrong. I also get panic attacks and I know how you feel it's terrible feeling.
