The former President of the United States and his wife are facing charges related to Human Trafficking after investigators followed up on safety concerns for a female at a Washington motel.

On Sunday, September 13, 2020, Police officers were alerted to a female in distress at a motel near Washington, DC. Officers responded and located the female. An investigation commenced after she provided information regarding a high ranking politician that forced her into prostitution.

The politician was identified as Bill Clinton – the former President of the United States. An application for an arrest warrant was submitted to the court system and subsequently granted. Both Clintons were arrested in the New York Metropolitan area on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. His matter was addressed at an unnamed courthouse on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Like other recent arrests, the judge issued a publication ban. However, those bans don’t apply to Canadian media. This story was first broken by a news station in Montreal, just north of New York City.

Clinton and his wife Hillary are facing several charges related to human trafficking offences.

As a result of continued investigation, detectives believe there are additional victims and witnesses who have yet to come forward.
