Um yes it is idiot...respect doesn't mean compliance.

I can respect a persons right to have religion for example without believing in religion itself. Respecting a persons pronouns doesn't mean you HAVE to accept them or use them...it's simply saying "I respect the fact you have a right to call yourself what you want but don't expect me to if I don't agree with its accuracy or validity"

insert eyeroll emote here...respect is a two way street ;)

  10. At value village yesterday for $10, at first it was non-functional but it turned out the board in the external case was fried and the hard drive was fine (1TB).

I mounted the HD in my PC and proceeded to look at the contents...there were about 6 excel files (password protected), 1 was open and that one had scans of the owners and her husbands drivers licenses...dumb.

The rest was several hundred photos dated from 2007 to 2013. Seems like they were a very active family who made lots of trips etc. The owner of the hard drive was Cynthia...she had a daughter named Alma (Hispanics)

Sifting through the photos I came across several of Alma with her precious daughter...then there were 5 or 6 of Alma at her job...as a titty dancer. A couple of them in a see through body stocking with suprisingly pale/flesh tone colored nipples for a hispanic, and a couple with some Asian chick, there was also a massive fat sloppy white guy in a couple of them (with the Asian chick).

It occurred to me though while mastur...viewing these how strange it was that Cynthia (the mother)...would have these photos along with the family photos.

I googled Cynthia (and her address from the drivers license, got her new address, phone number and email. I emailed her to say I'd bought her hard drive and if she wanted the photos let me know and I'll burn them to DVD and send them...I thought about asking for an introduction to Alma too but didn't.

I still backup Xvid movies to DVD...have about 2000 DVDs over the last 20yrs or so. I know in my head I could fit all those on 1 cheap HD now but it would probably take me 54 years to copy them all to it...so I just keep burnin DVDs...that and its convenient to play the disks on my DVD player than reads divx disks.

Back in the old days I used 100mb Zipdisks to backup warez.
