People tried to be rebellious by getting them, but nowadays so many people have one, it's just another normie thing.In 2012, 21% of Americans had one or more tattoos. That is around 45 million people in US alone.
30% of all college graduates in United States have tattoos.
35% of those between 30 and 39 years in the United Kingdom have tattoos.
The actual number in 2019 is probably much higher.
People don't understand the hierarchy of normies.normie (plural normies) (slang, usually derogatory) A normal person; one with commonly held beliefs, tastes or interests.
Where I'm from, it is a commonly held belief that hard drugs are acceptable and tattoos are normal.

People that use the word "normie" are usually exactly what the word means in one form or another. Jiggaboo is right, and Ghost is definitely a normie drone. But so is the majority of other people on this site.
You aren't rebelling by taking drugs. Now if you became an opium lord or something in a south east asian jungle and actually produced the shit yourself and didn't have to rely on a brainwashed western civilization, then you might be able to say you aren't a normie.
Everyone is still chasing paper though. I never would've guessed CandyRein preferred living outside a big filthy city.
