The European Space Agency (ESA) released a report, and they couldn't even get their facts straight from the beginning. They mentioned "air" temperature and immediately triggered headlines about record-breaking temperatures of up to 48°C in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, and Poland.
But guess what? The ESA later decided to set the record straight and clarified that they were talking about the scorching land surface temperature. Which btw is way hotter than those standard temperatures we hear about at 2 meters above the ground in our daily weather reports. And what did the brainless media do? They couldn't even notice this damn crucial difference and went ahead spreading their misleading garbage like wildfire!
To top it off, Germany's Achtung Reichelt had the audacity to slam the ESA for their sloppiness and manipulative press release. They had the nerve to call it the "most intense climate lie" in the history of temperature recording.
And you know what the actual temperature in Sicily was during that time? A measly 32°C! That's like a joke compared to the exaggerated 48°C they initially claimed.
This whole charade resulted in a false narrative of so-called record-breaking temperatures in Europe, and the panic and concern it caused were just ridiculous and unnecessary.
