sheeeesh I mean hey as long as the bills are paid but even 2x having to live in a budget would suck because that means you have no savings worth mentioning, which at your age is not ideal.
I know old farmers with a million bucks in the bank and they are "broke" but live so simply that they couldn't spend all that if they tried.
The most expensive things they buy are a $40,000 tractor or a trip to mexico or something and that's another year for them.
My savings is 6 figures. -

But that along with my annuity puts at over $5000 per month retirement. I can take early Social Security in 2024 and be at $6500 per month for life or wait until 2029 and be at around $7300.
I don't think I'm going to wait. I mean everything I own is paid for other than the new HVAC system I financed this summer for 15 years at about $138 per month. So I figure I'll probably just take the extra $1500 in 2024 and enjoy the extra money sooner. By the time I'm 69 I'll probably be so bored with earth money won't even be entertaining. -
