You're so stupid you can't imagine how that really works. Criminals have more experience with the criminal justice system than law abiding citizens. If they call the cops and give a description of you and your weapon and claim you brandished at them for no reason or some bullshit reason they make up you become the suspect to the cops.
When they find wearing what the perp described with a weapon fitting the perps description you will need an attorney. Any attorney will give you the same advice. Additionally all the major concealed carry insurance providers will advise you to do so.

That is not what happened. A guy, who six months later was charged and eventually convicted of attempted murder, was yanking on my left arm causing me great pain just 30 days after I broke me back. He was doing this because some liberal snowflake cunt 5 barstools away stuck her nose into our conversation and I told her to shut her cock hole because I wasn't speaking to her. He was demanding I apologize. I warned him twice to stop pulling on my arm.
He pulled a third time and I smashed his hand so badly he was sill casted and pinned 6 weeks later at pretrial. Being as he was a regular and I wasn't 3 more cats jumped in to "defend" him. When the smoke cleared all 3, including tge one who got dropped cold with one well placed cane strikeof them asked the courts for a restraining order against me.
I didn't start the fight, I defended myself in a 3 v 1 a month after I broke my back. The black eye in the photo is from the cubt I knocked out. He suckered me from about 7 o'clock with a pool cue from the other side of the pool table.
What the news doesn't know is that all charges against me were dropped.
I'm nobody to fuck with even with a broken back... -

I have never called the cops and if anything serious happens to me or family I'll handle it myself.
You call the cops after you eliminate the threat. If you draw your weapon and they run you still call the cops. Otherwise you risk the bad guy calling and reporting you for threatening with a deadly weapon. This turns you from the victim into the defendant. -
