No need to get defensive. I was just pointing out your factual, emotion based awarding, and other faults in regard to 1990s technology, technology of today, and the technology of the 1980s.
If you chose the name "technologist" because you once held a job in the field in the 1970s, great. In fact, you could probably teach me a thing or two as your instant reference was TAPE DRIVES. Past that, you need to leave the past 30 years of tech to...well...people younger than you, darling. If you didn't stay in it, you won't win it. -

Well, to be fair, at the time, the only people using it were techie types. It was not mainstream by any stretch of the word. Quite literally, only those INTERESTED IN COMPUTERS AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY was using it back then. -

She was no a visionary. She just wans't a retard and put her focus in future oriented tech rather than past/ancient tech. It's easy to predict where tech will go if you're in the field already. Doesn't make us prophets or visionaries. -

2019-01-29 at 11:18 AM UTC in let's revive the internet of 1995 - 2005Even this software Lanny has been kind enough to run for us. Is a recreation of 90's style bulletin boards. I love it, for one. Truly, I do. All the shit I sometimes give him, I love it. This is how ALL of the Internet was back then. Basic HTML, low-quality pictures, a forum here or there. Good shit. Prior to that, BBS dial-up. Everything from hacking to drugs, to sex, and all the shit. The start of Totse's "text file" collection before it went WWW. NIRVANANET wasn't the only BBS, there were shit tons. If they weren't local to you, long distance was charged. Connection time fees could be astronomical.
