Add 2 Tbsp of salt (yes, two TABLESPOONS)
Once eggs are boiling, add a lid and remove from heat but keep on the burner. (kill the heat, mash)
After 15 min, remove eggs.
De-shell if you wish. You'll find the higher saline boiling makes it easier. It's not some sort of science. -

Have you also checked capacitors? Look for bulged capacitors especially around the CPU. If you find more than one in this area, replace all of them with the same rated capacitor of preferably the same manufacturer.
Also, has the CPU been removed from it's socket at any point? If so, check for bent pins on the CPU itself or on the socket (depending on your socket type).
