Neil Armstrong, Daniel Boone, Lewis and Clark… Shall I continue…
blue water sailing refers to oceanaic sailing as does blue water navy. that's hardly rocket science to an englishman living in britains main navel port city. lol
i like the way you focus on certain things and just ignore the points that you know you can't answer. lol as i said ignorant.
typical american with that stupid 'america yeah' attitude. you guys were a super power for what, 5 minutes? you couldn't even manage that for long, lol.

Originally posted by Speedy Parker None of those areas are sub-Saharan nor were they blue water navies they were all brown water navies. Do you know the difference? Serious question.
As for South Africa really? They have 4 frigates, 3 diesel submarines, and 2 "warrior" class strike ships which are basically small coast guard ships. None of which are blue water capable due to a lack of support or logistic vessels and other limitations. In 1652 the Dutch started what became Capetown. The indigenous residents had no navy in 1652, brown or blue other than small coastal fishing vessels. Any naval presence to this day in South Africa is not due to the efforts of Africans. I am not being racists these are just historical fact.
oh suddenly its 'sub-saharan' now? that was a bit sudden out of the blue.
anyway there is a good reason why none of those countries ever really bothered to built much of a navy. and its nothing to do with intellect or abilities. they were all colonized by european countries till the middle of the 20th century so they were all protected by the royal, the french or other european navies and would be defended by them. of course this was all back when america was little more than an insignificant little ex british colony that the rest of the world had barely heard of and certainly wouldn't have had much of a navy of their own in those days, so we'll forgive your ignorance.
also i mentioned the berbers, you should look them up before claiming africans never explored the globe. besides we all originate from africa so how the fuck is that even possible you retard?
besides, name one famous american exzplorer? lol

yeah my sister did that an all. i remember for a while around mid/late 90s those fag lines were being advertised constantly on tv as soon as you got past midnight. often they'd be two or three during each ad break.

plenty of african sea farers. egypt, south africa and algeria, among others, all have fairly decent navies. and the berbers were well known sea farers who were sailing long distances hundreds of years ago.

Originally posted by Speedy Parker There really is some truth to that. Africa has more coastline than any other continent. It is a widely held belief that the first humans were from Africa. Yet no African nation has ever developed a "deep water" navy or explored the globe from those shores with a navy. On the other hand, Vikings.
don't be ignorant

Originally posted by Speedy Parker It was still shutdown for planned maintenance.
it would only have been shutdown for a few hours at most. it was basically running for the vast majority of 24 years. if it can do that then there is no reason why it technically couldn't do 20 years without rebooting. i mean the pic i just posted was a system that run uninterupted for 16 and a half years.

There might be some crazy shit you can do involving light which could explain why a tartaric acid resolution would be blue. Meth isn't light sensitive but all chemicals are affected by light in some way
i remember seeing a vince gilligan interview on yt where he stated that blue meth was complete fiction but couldn't find it.

Q: I was wondering if you would comment on the origins of the blue color of Heisenberg’s meth? – Brenda Neary
A: We had this instinct that it would be helpful to have something distinctive about Walt’s product. And we figured it should be nice and clear and not cloudy that a proper product would be. We thought yellow would be a terrible choice because it would remind people of urine, and we figured green would be an odd color and we thought blue was a good choice because it feels clean. We called up Dr. Donna with our fingers crossed, asked her if she thought it was possible for this product to come out as blue. She looked into it and said not really, and in fact, if you add a color, chemically speaking it would mean the product is probably less pure and been adulterated. And that worried me when I heard that. But she said, you know at the end of the day this is a fictional story and I’ll help you get the chemistry as right as I can. Sometimes technical advisors will be very rigid and say it will never work that way, never in a million years, but she was very good that way.

This is a famous server. In 2010 Stratus held a contest to identify one of its servers that had been running the longest. Hogan's then 17-year-old server was the winner. (At the time of the 2010 contest, the firm was known as Double Eagle Steel Coating Co.)
Since the 2010 server longevity contest, Andersen said Stratus has learned of other 20-year-old-plus systems but it's possible that the server at Great Lakes Works may still be the oldest.

Originally posted by Speedy Parker No your point is disproved by your own post. It can't be done because the hardware components must be replaced and that requires a planned shutdown and data transfer in the case of a storage device to avoid an unplanned shutdown.
nobody said it was required thoIt never shut down on its own because of a fault it couldn't handle," said Hogan.

Originally posted by Speedy Parker Wrong, it had to be shutdown for planned maintenance that if not performed would have resulted in an unplanned shutdown.
you already quoted the text that proves my point.
don't forget the argument in this fred is just whether a system and OS could run 20 years, not whether one actually has ever done so. i think my point is proved.
