2017-12-10 at 3:35 PM UTC in Just done my first CWEbeen using a bit too much recently and woke up this morning feeling a bit sick and broke, having spent everything on dope. but i bought some co-codomol last week coz i thought i was getting toothache but didn't, so they were just sitting in the draw. so i thought i'd give it a go, watched a few yt vids and read some text files and it seemed easy enough. so i just did 5 co-codomols and it worked a treat. feeling a lot better now. might even go to gym after all as i wasn't planning to, considering how i was feeling just half hour ago.

because your perception is generated from your mind. lsd and other hallucinogens enable you to clear all that shit that interferes with your day to day thinking. all those ideas that society and other influences impose on us that we just go along with, they affect our whole perception. on acid you will see shit so clearly for what it really is. its truly mind-blowing when it happens. many times i do acid i look at my life and the shit i've been doing and suddenly i'm like 'why the fuck have i been doing/thinking like that'. its like it enables you to look at shit from all different angles.

sudo = do administrative tasks
apt-get = the program that controls what's installed on your computer
You could also use stuff like
sudo apt-get upgrade
To upgrade your software (run after apt-get update)
sudo mintupgrade
To get the newer version of mint
it won't even let me put the password in ffs. it lets me type the code(first line)
i hit enter and it asks for pw. then it won't let me type anything.

Of people who were born here, the school system and larger culture has failed to assimilate at least 12% on the most basic level of teaching them language
That 12% figure is a lower bound and from just the statistical data could be as high as 100% (although obviously this seems unlikely)
Note also that being able to speak a language is not the same thing as assimilation. Many people who speak English in the US are not assimilated in the American culture. And again, being the one who, you know, actually lives here, my experience is that the cultural divide between the Chinese community and the rest of the city is relatively sharp even among those with English fluency.

So just looking up about this mate desktop and its something that the cinnamon devs built based on the old gnome 3 project. Still not sure why I'm opening mate instead of mint. Until now I wasn't even aware I had mate on here but I'm assuming its part of mint. When I click on the menu icon tho i get a window with this message:Your window manager does not support the show desktop button, or you are not running a window manager.
