Basically the daughter of Huawei's founder (serving as the CFO) has been kidnapped in Canada to face trial in the US for breaking unilateral US trade embargoes on Iran.
If the issue is Huawei trading with Iran, it begs the question as to why they only went after the CFO - seems to me that she was targeted specifically to attack her father.
Regardless, China's not going to let this slide - I'm interested to see how they respond; Canada will regret this. -

it's the same in any country that designs their own military equipment - artillery, anti-air emplacements, mobile radar - they're designed modular to be deployed on the back of an existing platform. it's a lot cheaper to design equipment to be mounted on existing platforms than to build entirely new transports every time new hardware comes out. current PANTSIRs are mounted on a KAMAZ 6560 8x8, so I'd assume this thing is designed to be fitted on something similar.

Maybe it helps to deflect nuclear flash damage.

I plan to have my own next gen missile defense directed energy protype up and running shortly, I'm going to jam a laser pointer up my ass and run around going "wowwwowowwowowwo". It'll have as much chance of stopping a nuke as any of these systems.
