    it's the same in any country that designs their own military equipment - artillery, anti-air emplacements, mobile radar - they're designed modular to be deployed on the back of an existing platform. it's a lot cheaper to design equipment to be mounted on existing platforms than to build entirely new transports every time new hardware comes out. current PANTSIRs are mounted on a KAMAZ 6560 8x8, so I'd assume this thing is designed to be fitted on something similar.

    i dont know, it looks to me like the entire system is tailor made.

    is there a forum where people who know about these things post ?
