fast food fries arent really my jam. In N out is okay, but theres a few places that do beef tallow n duck fat fries that are pretty good. Apparently you have to par boil them in baking soda water, let them cool and dry and then double fry them to get the crispy (!) outside and the soft inside. Ive make them at home a couple times and they werent bad.

Any necessity doesnt make it less authoritarian. Im sure most authoritarians would suggest that the things they do are for people’s own good. “Hate speech” is entirely subjective, and radicalization is just another way of saying that people might start believing things you dont like. Its the same reason Floridians and conservative states want to ban books on gay shit. Maybe Hitler is just a reductive, easily digestible lie because people are too simple to grapple with any kind of nuanced position ie- its possible for someone to do things you dislike and not be the moral equivalent to someone who started a world war and apparently committed genocide.
