Now they make the Epson Home Cinema 3800, which costs about as much as my current projector was, but this new one has 4k resolution. Don't really care about the resolution beyond 1080p, I mostly just like the specs of the projector itself, which are mostly the same, but with a better contrast ratio in the newer version.
   
   Projectors are more complex than monitors or tvs, and so more research needs to be done on my part before I decide between the Epson Home Cinema 3800 and the Epson Home Cinema 5050UB. Need to research and compare before I pay, as one costs as much as my new rig that I'll get next month, and one costs half of what the new rig costs.
   
   I rather enjoy using a projector instead of a monitor. I hurts my eyes a lot less, although I no longer spend long nights in front of a computer like I used to when I was younger, so who knows for sure. Still nice to have a pc project over an entire wall.
   
   
   
   p.s. benq makes some slightly cheaper projectors that I believe are made for gaming in particular; might be something to look into for some of you.
