I don't think it's a forbidden fruit thing any more than a guy bring attracted to men is a forbidden fruit thing. As such, if being a fag was 100% socially/morally acceptable, there would be more gays, not fewer. Same goes for pedos, I think the social stigma is what keeps most of them honest.
