On the real: All you do is have a little think then assume you know everything. Now you're suddenly an expert on tactical matters when it comes to small cell sabotage operations in an urbanized environment. I may not be a tactician, or a soldier but at the very least i know about explosives, and explosive demolition, because i have educated myself on the matter. I also have formal education in Electrical Engineering. The Grid has redundancy built in at a lot of points. Here's the catch though, you go from high voltage transport lines to substations. Substations go to big transformers, which serve a sector that is further divided up by smaller transformers and various equipment. Did i say you should take out one tower? No. I just said how to do it. Say a city has 8 substations that get their input from 8 towers. By their design the substations can take load from other parts of the grid to compensate for fluctuations, but there is a limit to that capacity. If you take out all towers, even if they are put back up relatively quickly putting load on the grid again is a delicate operation. That will take some time. It can be done relatively fast, but nowhere did i specify this would kill a city forever. It will cause fucking mayhem though. And that's the last thing you want on the homefront when you're trying to conduct a war. -

Of course if you have the right type and composition of fertiliser (uncoated ammonium nitrate) all you need is to pour on a few drums of diesel or fuel oil or similar, and you have a very cheap and easily available explosive. The only hard part is making sure it detonates, you do need a high explosive detonator to use as the primary, but that doesn't have to be big.

You can pour petrol into infrastructure cabinets and burn them, and take out various services that way.
I expect grunts will be freezing their arses off watching pipes and roads all over Europe this winter.
Can confirm. Also no need to be wasteful, you can kill the power grid by knocking over high voltage towers. All you need is two relatively small shaped charges, in a L shape configuration for cutting the steel beams near the base, and two conventional charges for knock over effect. Cut the beams, bend the cut beams inward just a little and it will come down. I am pretty sure Picric Acid has a high enough VoD to use in shaped charges, but preferably you'd use RDX. Both are easy to make. The former by nitrating aspirin, the latter by nitrating hexamine(IIRC) TATP primary -> picric acid booster -> RDX secondary. Will definitely do the trick. -

At least we have gas and crude in our territorial waters. My government has also created a major fiscal package. Fortunately it's a center right government so it doesn't involve borrowing or printing money. Everyone's energy prices are getting price capped though and the energy companies will have to eat the loss.
Before the fiscal package shit was going up up up, then it became law, so the actual price came down but the energy companies did not lower their prices to reflect that. So they drew the ire of the government and the government is big mad. -
