Lol I had this in my notifications last night and watched it. Pretty crazy it's illegal it honestly doesn't seem too dangerous in and of itself. I guess it's one of those things I can wish to try but likely never will. Most people I know probably don't even know what it is. -

It's also a more hands on approach, actual violence instead of poisoning someone and waiting for them to die, that's my guess why.
I'm not sure how they are near you but when I was homeless I always had a good size knife on me and pretty much every homeless person I knew did too so there would be a chance it might not work out in your favor. Best bet would be to catch them from behind while they're looking away from you.
Also if you are in a city, which I assume because that's where most homeless people are, there's always a chance that someone might be looking out a window at you so you would want to definitely make sure you did it in an area where nobody could possibly see you because motherfuckers are nosey. -
