2022-12-25 at 11:03 PM UTC in Fucked up shit I had to experience in school.Whole class would be excited for their cool pencils, erasers, stationary, good books, posters for their room, and my broke ass got to watch kids talking with their friends about what to get, budgeting their money, and there I am holding 2$ wondering if I want lunch for the week (.40 cent reduced cost lunch) or buy something. In second grade I made the mistake and really regretted it for five days.

What I didn't say was the only kids who couldn't do book fair was 3 black kids and me and other white kids would call me a poor nigger and you know for kids fitting in is everything
It was the same three black kids I had to sit at a table with while the whole class made mugs for Father's Day with DAD written on them and here I am with the black kids who didn't have a dad.
10 out of 10 fucked up.

I don't think they should do scholastic book fairs because it was pretty fucked up watching almost every kid get stuff for 45 minutes year after year. I set this so my family can't see it because I don't want them to feel bad. I don't think low income kids should have to experience that every year for the school to make money in the richest county in Wisconsin. -
