Mental illness requires that something seriously negatively affect your life. Both MPD and gender fluidity can be mental illnesses. But gender fluidity can be negative to your life due to societal factors, whereas true MPD can be tremendously negative and dangerous.

there are countless examples of people attempting suicide with a gun an failing. I know of two people in RL who failed…one shot himself I'm the mouth and the bullet when out of his nose, the other blew his jaw off and half his face off with a shotgun. after Australia banned guns they tried fudging suicide statistics to toe the gun control line when the facts were the opposite of their claims.
This is why I will never understand why anyone would shoot themselves in the mouth instead of directly at the side of the head. There is so much stuff between the mouth and the brain where the bullet could either get stuck or could end up missing entirely. It just doesn't make sense.
