   looking deeper into this oreshnick thing i (and i'm sure the russians also) have came to the conclusion that this weapon system is nothing but a Caucasian elephant.
   
   its great for a very few, very select, very niche, tailor made, very well defended targets that are time sensitive and small.
   
   with its almost mach-10 terminal speed it does nothing but slam deep underground and throw up a lot of dirt and peebles into the air, and leaving a very deep, small (relative to the weight of explosive it carries) hole.
   
   this destruction characteristic is almost useless against conventional targets that are on ground level and spread out. using it in an airburst mode wouldnt do much good either since at hypersonic terminal speed the missile probably travel almost as fast if not equal to the rate high explosives can oxydize itself optimally.
   
   blast pattern from such a detonatiin wouldnt be optimum and again, a complete waste of limited resources.
   
   if they wanted to hit the oval orrifice or USS Harvey Milk, oreshnick would be it. for everything else,

    Apparently the writing was actually on the bullets which were in the gun to be fired. From what I had read I assumed the writing was on three unfired bullets the killer left behind as a calling card.
