US wouldn't directly step in vs Iran. Exactly one of the benefits of Iran being a "nuke ready" power. They would just (half rally from Europe and) supply huge support to Israel for their missile fights. US could obviously crush Iran in conventional warfare at the snap of a finger but if you assume a state will do anything necessary to preserve it's existence, boy oh boy will nukes be pulled out at the end no matter what. So the US wouldn't do that as an insurance policy. Nukes flying around is way too messy of a scenario to ever allow. All policy points away no matter what. They would literally rather lose Israel than push Iran to the point of starting to point nukes. -

You're underestimating the nuclear bunker you're trying to bust here. It's literally not worth your time to try, no matter how little you think it's worth, because the chances of success are 0. It's entirely wasted effort, no matter how little effort it is. Because the impact is zero.

Constructing a nuclear bomb is now known, fine tuned and openly available science that can be performed en masse by relatively lower skilled technicians, the manufacturing processes for which can, if needed, be spun up in months.
Except one part, which is enriching the required fissile materials.

If we are being real, they likely already have everything ready to go in some form.
So all relevant militaries already basically assume Iran as a nuclear power, because they basically already are. But they get all the benefits of being on the cusp of but not quite "actually" "having" nukes. It is actually a more advantageous equilibrium for them than Israel's is for Israel. -

I want to basically create a bunch of interacting simulated systems and have the player interact with them and play within the bounds of their interactions, kind of like Dwarf Fortress but with a more restricted and focused scope.
My current idea is a kind of roguelike aquatic sim game where you have to survive as a fish or school of fish, or perhaps "manage" a school of fish with inputs like placing food etc to get them to survive, until you successfully get them to mate and proceed 1 generation. Based on how you managed to get through that generation, you get upgrade points you can allocate to the next generation.
That's the basic loop idea.
I don't know whether to go with "be a fish alone" or "be a fish leading a school of fish" or "be an overseer who commands the school of fish RTS style" or "be an overseer who only interacts by limited inputs of stimuli to subtly guide and direct the school of fish"
I want to make it "realistically" difficult, like sometimes maybe your school is targeted by a group of barracudas and you're just too weak, sorry nigga, game over. -
