It would be a representation of our real selves, using AI to "fill in the blanks" so to speak.
I do think that we will one day be able to achieve that, but as far as uploading our true selves (our consciousness, soul, whatever you wanna call it, etc) to live as we are now but inside computer code rather than our physical bodies, I think is impossible.
we can't even quantify consciousness yet, considering copying or transferring it in the near future is premature to say the least -

that's Hezbullah, their logo is the AK sight. using an ALMAS ATGM, which ironically is a clone of the israeli SPIKE, which I guess is their version of the JAVELIN -

I think the Saudis did kinda admire America, and their bet on America certainly pay off.
Nowadays, I think the Saudis deplore America as a country that cuts the tits off of little girls, and I don't think they see any benefit in hitching their wagon to a gay woke empire in late stage necrosis.
50 years ago all the Saudi oil fields, like Ghawar, were fresh or were just coming online. The Saudis are majorly macho about their capacity to produce oil, but the fact is most of the Saudi oil has already been pumped up and burned. I don't think it's selflessness that motivates the Saudis to cut production to balance the oil market, it's concern for the future and desire to conserve what they have. MBS isn't old in political terms, he has 40 years to go at least, and those 40 years are going to involve managing the decline of Saudi production capacity. The Aramco IPO is fraught too, and a transparent cash grab, cashing in on previous performance, that people expect to continue forever. How many barrels of oil are actually left in the ground in Saudi Arabia? Perhaps less than people expect.
I agree, it's a popular 'fringe' theory that Saudi Arabia and perhaps the gulf states in general are past their peak oil output, and without the discovery of new deposits they will be overtaken on the market. at the moment there are big untapped deposits in Iran, near israel and Lebanon and now in the Arctic, none of which help them maintain their position.
Texas oil production. The big peak is shale oil/tight oil/fracked oil, but those wells deplete after 5 years or so.
Shale is not really viable. Even at projected outputs (10 years or so) oil prices need to be over 110 (from memory) to be competitive; anything lower and the cost of cracking/maintenance overruns profit.
Projected outputs are almost never accurate though; they're meant to drive investment - typically shale deposits have a life of 5-8 years MAXIMUM, which ruins any projections of profitability -

it also does some high-intensity background crypto work in order to slow down automated transactions; typically a bot farm would get bogged down if it had to do a bunch of stupid nonsense javascript every time it made a request -

2024-06-05 at 4:29 PM UTC in Scott Ritter had his passport seized on the way to RussiaHe's one of the biggest voices discussing how dangerous and suicidal US foreign policy is at the moment and he was headed to talk at a Russian security conference, seems pretty obvious.
After he openly came out against the Iraq war explaining that the justification was a lie (he was a UN weapons inspector at the time, not just some commentator) he got caught on some noncing charge which I'm still not sure the details of, whether it was legit or whether he was stitched up to discredit him (similar to Wariat it relates to talking to underage girls online).
The justification for his passport being seized is supposedly that after the noncing charge he's meant to give 21 days notice before he leaves the country, though again it's not clear whether he actually did or didn't do it. -

2024-06-05 at 9:23 AM UTC in Are you looking forward to the big war with Iran?actually the dates are right but I'm having trouble finding any sort of confirmation that KSA won't be renewing the agreement. it's mostly anti-fed metal traders that are hyping it but they don't seem to have much in the way of hard evidence

KSA's said they're open to trading in local currencies but that seems to be it
