Food service and cuatomer service is unfortunately very dependant on theur work force and most times if u dont show ur fired. Have to fake an er visit for a note at the least.

so we leave the windows open and a fan near the window blowing in air. its the best we have until my cheap ass buys a couple of small mini ac units that you stick ice in. they had one in New Jersey which worked really good. you freeze a giant plastic picnic cup of water (They had like 5 in the freezer and I realized what they were for) and you just dump it in the top with a latch and cold air comes out as it melts. last like 4-5 hours and it was like upper 90s the whole time with humidity at 90% really gross weather

They're ripping up the street and sewer lines and we keep sneezing and the air smells like rotten eggs at times. Covid air floating around but we have to leave the windows open cause it's stuffy as hell in this place. Im glad it wasn;'t that hot this year. some years its hot here. I dont remember this shit happening much pre early 1990s and buildings with no AC proves it. new buildings have them now
If you freeze water in your apartment to make it cooler I think you're losing the war. The freezer pulls the heat out of the water and puts it in your house. Then you take ice out to absorb heat from the air that you just made hotter
Get a window air conditioner but don't drop it out the window like Jerry Seinfeld be carefil

I was living at home and a family friend was parking their truck in the driveway ( wasn't using it for some reason ) well I was going to have to move the truck to get my car out so I figured, hey, I'll just drive the truck.
I went downtown and some guy in a new Porsche comes BLASTING into the parking lot and does some kind of bullshit donut and ents up denting the truck bumper and bending scratching all down the side of it and he takes off like a bat out of hell I tried to chase him but literary the Porsche was faster.
I tried to find the Police for a long time ( RAT! ) but coodent fond em anywhere, my friend says he knows a place with police which ents up being like the airport police , we go in their station and it's like all the doors are shitty and tiny little hatches like to an airplane toilet and I basically say f*ck this these aren't even the right cops. ent up going to a house party in the truck and got a boner and joy rode their go-kart but the tire blows out in the street so I get the hell out of there.
