As for climate change, it’s by now widely accepted by the scientific community that we have entered a new geological era, the Anthropocene, in which the Earth’s climate is being radically modified by human action, creating a very different planet, one that may not be able to sustain organized human life in anything like a form we would want to tolerate. There is good reason to believe that we have already entered the Sixth Extinction, a period of destruction of species on a massive scale, comparable to the Fifth Extinction 65 million years ago, when three-quarters of the species on earth were destroyed, apparently by a huge asteroid. Atmospheric CO2 is rising at a rate unprecedented in the geological record since 55 million years ago. There is concern — to quote a statement by 150 distinguished scientists — that “global warming, amplified by feedbacks from polar ice melt, methane release from permafrost, and extensive fires, may become irreversible,” with catastrophic consequences for life on Earth, humans included — and not in the distant future. Sea level rise and destruction of water resources as glaciers melt alone may have horrendous human consequences.

    3. On a separate question to do with Global Warming, Thomas Sowell points out that not all studies have been done with the proper scientific integrity and attempts have been made in earlier studies to twist conclusions around to suit the agenda of the researchers (perhaps since going with the party line would have ensured more government grants for their research).

    4. Sowell asserts that scientists who believe alarmist predictions regarding global warming are doing a great deal to prevent scientists who believe the opposite from being heard. While I have no knowledge of climate science, I do know that the exact same thing happens in the world of economics, where it is impossible to get hired at a certain place if you don't support the official view of the place. A Hayekian would have a hard time getting hired at Harvard and a Keynesian would have a hard time getting hired at the University of Chicago. The media too is extremely guilty of this. For example, the New York Times, routinely turned down op-eds from Milton Friedman undisputedly the best economist in the last 60 years, but let economists like Paul Krugman write whatever they want in NY Times Op-eds, simply because the latter believes in less economic freedom and more government control.
This does suggest that the ideal form of scientific integrity described by Richard Feynman in the piece below doesn't remotely exist in fields that rouse people's political passions.
    Cargo Cult Science

Nowhere does Thomas Sowell say that there is no evidence for global warming. The only two things he says are:
    1. Attempts have been made to manipulate findings and conclusions.
    2. Scientists who don't believe alarmist predictions have it harder than those who do.

“The Great Reset” Conspiracy Flourishes Amid Continued Pandemic

As is so often the case with conspiracy theories, one can find antisemitic sentiments in the Great Reset, with some believers going so far as to accuse Jews of orchestrating the plot or invoking George Soros and the Rothschild family. In a video posted on December 6 that has since been viewed more than 17,000 times, antisemitic conspiracy theorist Adam Green of Know More News asserts that the World Economic Forum is controlled by Jews who are using the Great Reset as part of a plan to “set up a Zionist, Noahide, One World Government according to the prophecies.” He adds, “the Great Reset is totally tied in with all of this.”

    Climate change conspiracy theory

An analysis conducted by The Carbon Brief in 2011 found that 9 out of 10 of the most prolific authors who cast doubt on climate change or speak against it had ties to ExxonMobil. Greenpeace have said that Koch industries invested more than US$50 million in the past 50 years on spreading doubts about climate change.[47][48][49] ExxonMobil announced in 2008 that it would cut its funding to many of the groups that "divert attention" from the need to find new sources of clean energy, although in 2008 still funded over "two dozen other organisations who question the science of global warming or attack policies to solve the crisis."[50] A survey carried out by the UK Royal Society found that in 2005 ExxonMobil distributed US$2.9 million to 39 groups that "misrepresented the science of climate change by outright denial of the evidence"

And the Paris Agreement was created by key players of none other than the New World Order. So, of course Carbon Brief is going to cook up some climate change hoax study. Of course. What else would they do? Say climate change isn't real and stop getting millions? C'mon, man, as Joe Biden would say. Don't you have any sources of information which aren't completely compromised, conflicted and grossly biased?
