well the entire reason this thread was made was because of people going to court on a forum for selling cracked software that was really ransomware.. so idk you tell me?

i think there has been at least 4 patches within the last 10 days since the CVE was released, each time they "fix" this vulnerability, someone else figures out another way to bypass the patch.

also If a string substitution is attempted for any reason on the following string, it will trigger an infinite recursion, and the application will crash:

    ${${::-${::-$${::-j}}}}

no, instead of promoting cracked software etc on the dark web, and then when someone buys it have it do a ransomware attack, just sell them the actual cracked software with a backdoor inside, most wont check, or you have have a dormitory style malware that waits a few weeks, months etc until it starts to infect the persons pc. that way its less likely they will try to have the court..
either way the court is still stupid so my rebuttal is a bit pointless anyways. i was just playing devils advocate and saying there are options to fuck with people other than a ransomware attack as soon as they download the software.

make less ransomware, make more persistent backdoors. Farm the data, sell the data, repeat.

exactly what i was thinking. and if you get banned on the dark web, im sure you have enough knowledge to just rejoin as someone else and do the same thing over and over again.

Elon Musk names the Tesla models:
    Model S
    Model 3
    Model X
    Model Y

    S-3-X-Y
Has there been any more of a god like figure in the last 2000 years? He personally named his Tesla vehicles after his objective appearance.

So apparently cybercrime forums on the dark web are now creating their own court system that allows victims of ransomware attacks & scams / invalid credentials to sue the seller.

The court hearings are public on the forums as all members are allow to chat, say input, and watch this unfold. From what i gathered both the defendant and plaintiff will submit their own side of the situation including chat logs, crypto transactions, emails, screenshots, and even personal information.

The punishment can be anywhere from a few $100-$1000s of fines, to being banned on the forum.

People and their families are actually getting doxed due to how personal this is getting..

What do you guys think about a Shadow Court on darkweb forums? I personally find it funny

When the entire world is distracted by the interplanetary vulnerability dubbed log4shell, who here is paying more attention to CVE-2021-42278 and CVE-2021-42287?

I could hell of #metoo on her but I wouldn't she was hella cool and I got high-fives by my other brother and his friend.

14 was one of the best years in my life. My mom divorced our abusive pops. My mom never kept track of me or discipline me (which wasn't good but I had fun). but I never did the shit kids today do. fucking hell.. kids murdering at 12-13 robbing people. world has changed hardcore.

kids murdering and robbing at 12-13 has been a thing since the dawn of humans.. even in the 90s in the inner city it was common for kids to commit murders/robberies. Society actually over time has become more civil. 150 years ago a 13 year old would already be out of school, working full time, having children, etc. Not to mention humans in general have become more civil in a gradual rate every century. The only reason people think other wise is because they are naive as children, and are not aware of what is really going on in this world. Social Media/internet also played a huge part in how much humans see other affected parts of the world. but in reality its nothing new, and it still is improving every year.

Also id like to mention minecraft is less than 1% of the affected devices, as the exploit is able to perform payloads on companies and applications such as: Apple, Google, Apache, Tesla, Ghidra, Solr, Amazon, Cloudflare, PaloAlto, LinkedIn, VMWare, Redis, Steam, just to name a few. They say this could be the worst vulnerability to ever exist, even worse than Shellshock.

its actually not the devs of java, but volunteers that created the package log4j, and that is open source. They maintain the project in their spare time, and came out with a patch within 24 hours of the exploit, Minecraft also came out with a patch i believe within 24 hours of the exploit as well (2 days ago) so if your minecraft server is not patched then thats due to the people who run your minecraft server being lazy.
