why you should or shouldnt use a vpn, and the better alternative..
now for reasons to use a vpn:
1. You need to connect to a private network/intranet from a remote location (think remote job connecting to company for job)
2. Youre paranoid and using public wifi and think there is potentially a chance is performing a MITM attack
thats it.. everything else you should use a residential proxy instead. There are a few reasons for this.
1. no added encryption so less lag/faster internet
2. can easily hop across multiple nodes
3. since the same ip are used by residential houses, companies cannot block them or they end up blocking a bunch of random people in said location
4. lea would need to go to each server that you hopped from for logs where a vpn, lea only needs to visit one server
both will hide your ip so thats irrelevant argument. i will like to add, that using a vpn and proxy together is the best route, but if you were to only pick one, i would highly recommend using a proxy instead of a vpn.

they got hacked last year, all dna data from everyone who used it along with their family is now available for anyone to use for identity theft, not to mention dna data has been sold to insurance companies and now are already placing in clauses that allow insurance companies to adjust premiums etc solely based on this leaked data.
