not really what they were saying.. as wolves were able to interbreed, and throughout human selection we created different breeds / looks of dogs..

so they are saying why we cannot do this with chimps, monkeys and gorillas, as not breed them together, but breed primates as a collective with their own species to create primates based on human interests.

i just set a few random processes to -20, changed limits of a few groups. created a forkbomb and down it does.

random variables for these dont seem to work everytime, but every couple of dozen runs, it seems to get janky and likes to fall on its face.
ill start hard coding values and see if i can get a more accurate measure on what is being changed.

actually i was just messing around and completely broke a system and it went into a kernel panic..
    so try again

but to my defense. i had good reasons (in my opinion) and i also warned them multiple times to stop doing their shit before i released it.

you're probably not wrong though, at the ISP's end it's probably exactly a DHCP lease so it'd be up to them to choose whether they let a client drop it. I've just dealt with a LOT of ISPs here and they all seem to operate the same way

yes here. for example. comcast you cannot release your IP no matter what you do, you will always get it back until they decide.. but on the other hand version fios, you can change your ip multiple times a day if you wanted to by either unplugging the gateway. or just clicking the built in release ip/ renew ip button options.. but is is possible with some ISP companies to change your IP whenever you feel fit to.

Was heading home yesterday and was thinking..

How much damage could i cause if i write a small bash script that manipulates niceness, and also change the stack size and processes limits for the kernel. That way it will to prevent any user/group or root that i choose from executing certain functions to their system..

It would basically be like backdooring the GNU coreutils with rust or C, but different?

Obviously the obfuscation would be seriously lacking in this department, but i actually never seen it done, before indulging in this small projects, i was curious if anyone has seen this done with documentation, or in the wild before?

Originally posted by aldra I have no idea about specific ISP policies, especially in other countries. What I'm saying is that in my experience, ISPs that give out leased IPs will only cycle them on a schedule and reconnecting or sending DHCP release/renews doesn't do anything because the tables are protected. You can probably contact them and ask for a new one but that's outside the point

    exactly my point.
you try to argue globally based on your own regional situational experiences. Life doesnt work that way.
    learn to know.

there is no point to this thread, OP is insane, he sent me a rambling message earlier accusing me of being a fed intel contractor

    again

then how about stop trying to argue with facts. go get yourself version fios. log into your gateway and click the button that says release then hit the button that says re-new...
stop being oppressed and naive. you sound so stupid right now trying to argue with factual statements.

if you ask the Office of National Statistics. On November 15th 2021 someone asked:
"How are the statistics for compiling the deaths and hospitalizations for the vaccinated vs un-vaccinated calculated in relation to Covid 19/SARS-CoV-2 vaccines - specifically, what counts as an un-vaccinated death?

The CDC in the USA has stated that it counts the death of a person who was vaccinated less than 14 days prior to their death as being un-vaccinated. So anyone dying within 2 weeks of having had one or more of the Covid 19/SARS-CoV-2 shots is counted as a un-vaccinated person.

    The CDC defination of un-vaccinaed:
COVID-19 vaccination status is determined on the date of death occurrence if a death has occurred, and on the last day of each week if not.
    Possible values are:
    - unvaccinated
    - vaccinated with the first dose only, date of death/last day of week is within 21 days of vaccination.
    - vaccinated with the first dose only, date of death/last day of week is 21 days or more after vaccination.
    - vaccinated with both the first and second dose, date of death/last day of week is date of second vaccination or later.

So what can you get out of this? people who die from the vaccine are grouped together with the un-vaccinated which only increased the statistical number of people dying from COVID-19 and the government is making it appear the COVID-19 strains are a lot more lethal than they actually are.

guess you missed the entire reason for this thread... you know to stop a ddos attack... hence why you would want to change your ip right away..

sure lets all just wait a week for the ip to change because thats how often the ISP sets the schedule for and sit offline during a ddos attack.. smh your comprehension skills are lacking tenfold.

the funny thing is a Static IP cost more than a dynamic. you could run your own server with a static IP by linking a domain reg to your Apache server software.

but it makes it easier for getting DDoS or other methods of messing with you.

there is an old ap I remember where you create a user name and the ap always updates a dynamic ip so you could run a FTP or apache server if you chose. it would act as a domain name but it can be your own name or a word with numbers or any made up word.

it was free as well. but Comcast will keep you on the same IP for months before suddenly changing. I turned my box off over night for hours, came back on and it was the same IP. clicking the reset didn't change it either.

I don't bother anymore. I'm waiting for the new Verizon system said to be coming out. T-Mobile is shit Im told. too many problem with theirs.

the other thing would be to get Sonic

i know verizon fios have a release/renew in the settings that should work every time, but not sure if the normal non-fios allows that option in their gateway.
