I'm only a self proclaimed world class chef, not a paid professional one like MMQ.
But yes, It's rare I follow a recipe when making stuff...sure I often refer to recipes but I generally add my 'twist' to anything I cook.
My world famous sausage and tomato casserole, easy and fast to make, tasty beyond words.
Obviously you can double/triple this up if you want to batch cook
1lb sausage (of your choosing, I usually use deer sausage which I get for free from my hunting buddy)
2-3 mid/large onions
1lb mushrooms
3-4 cans of stewed tomatoes
3 or 4 (to taste) heaped tablesooons of basil flakes
2 tablespoons of crushed/diced garlic (I usually used the already prepared stuff in a bottle)
crushed red pepper flakes (quantity depending on how spicy hot you want it, I usually use about 1 1/2 tablespoons)
cook the sausage slice and set aside
Slice and saute the onions in butter, when halfway done add the mushrooms and saute the lot
add the stewed tomatoes
add all the other crap
slice up the sausage and throw that in the mix
simmer for 10-15 mins
SERVE THAT SHIT UP AND HAVE SOME BREAD (KETO IF YOU'RE LIKE ME) FOR DIPPIN'/SANDWICH MAKIN' PURPOSES.
..and with the theme of the response...MAKE IT YOUR OWN RECIPE. -

I've often put cheese into sausage and tomato casserole, let it all melt and become part of the sauce. Try it its good, you get that extra layer of flavor and it thickens it nicely.

The great thing about watching specifically mediocre anime as it airs is that you never end up getting that feeling of, like, "OH, FUCK YOU. COME ON. I NEED MORE NOW! THIS IS BULLSHIT! YOU CANT END IT LIKE THIS!" It's mediocre. Waiting another week is fine.
If you're going to judge me for anything, judge me for watching good anime on a weekly release schedule and then tearing my hair out when a 20 minute episode passes by in what feels like 8 minutes and I'm left frustrated for another 7 days. -

2024-07-03 at 6:02 PM UTCI'm just gonna make up a load of pasta in sauce, gonna chop up some hot dog sausages to chuck in, and when its done and nice and hot gonna chuck in some slices of red leicester cheese and after a minute two give it a good stir so all that melted cheese mixes in nice with the sauce to give it that nice cheese and tomato flavor. Also a good squirt of brown sauce to give it a little spicy tang.
