2- therefore everything he says and "exposes" can be confidently assumed to be TRUE without the need to be proven, to be true or otherwise.
3- no one, no single party, no single entity from EITHER SIDE either confirm, or deny, in part or in whole, everything that pepe has claimed as 'thr truth' according to multiple independent sources.
therefore for all intent and purposes what has happened according to pepe escobar HAD INDEED HAPPENED.
israel attempted to retaliate; russia unilaterally and literally shot it down. the US remain silent.
whether the real shot down really took place or not did not matter.
the beef between iran and israel is settled.
too many different, conflicting groups would need to all agree to keep it quiet
even if they wanted to it'd be impossible to make sure all of the members of the Iraqi PMUs near the border for instance don't post photos or videos of nuclear recovery teams.
I still need to map it, but perhaps the missile boosters found in Iraq were from a long-range missile that was fired - the plane returned to israel but the missile it launched (nuclear or otherwise) was intercepted and they were given a stern talking to. -

dont even have to be an actual shot-down.
the intels are saying this:
russian shot down US ally's plane and thr US said nothing.
imagine if this was an organized crime groups meeting. the top liutenant of one of the gang was being loud and upptiy when the negotiations began and he was promptly slapped/recked by the boss of another gang.
the upptiy top lieutenant's boss was cool, quiet and allowed it to happen.
its an explicit admission that the top lieutenent went out of line and needed to be taught a lesson.
this is kind of how thisnwhole thing is.
israel went out of line and russians gave it a good beating with US's approval. whether it happened or not doesnt matter because thats the talk in town.
thats how everyone else are going to interprete this episode geopolitically.
then thing between iran and israel is settled.
for now. -

assume that the missiles they used were the new Rafael ROCKS system, since the boosters found in Eastern Iraq appear to have been SPARROW boosters that are only used in ROCKS and the SPARROW series target missiles (dummies for testing air defense). Rafael does not appear to have released actual specifications for the ROCKS system but based on the boosters, it's likely around 2000km. the boosters dropped off around 450km from Isfahan.
couple of things:
1. anonymous US sources reported that three missiles were fired, but only two boosters were recovered and there's no documented damage to the radar site. some 'open source' analysts claim that damage is visible from satellite photos but others claim that it's just shadow. either way, 500kg bombs should do significantly more damage than what is claimed.
2. if the missiles were intercepted, as the story implies by Russian fighter jets, the terminal phase is when the missile is moving the fastest and firing off decoys. it's the point where it's hardest to bring down, so unless they were physically unable to intercept at an earlier point (ie. over Iraq before the boosters dropped) it does not make sense to attempt it that late.
3. if that was actually the case, information control would be much easier because any debris would've fallen over Iran where the US/israel physically cannot attempt recovery.
4. the reported path of the plane combined with the location of the boosters suggests that the missiles were moving toward central Iran, not toward the capital in the North, which both supports the theory that the initial drone attack was meant to shut down air defence in the region and the theory that the goal of the second strike was to shut national power down. if the target was a power station most of them are in that area, and if the goal was to use an EMP to attack high voltage transmission that'd be the best location to affect the entire country. -

2024-05-04 at 9:21 AM UTCIDF sources are now reporting that in the Iranian strike, ground-launched SAMs had (at best) a 25% interception rate; they're blaming this on a malfunction in US targeting systems.
this is supported by reports that the majority of successful interceptions were conducted by US fighter jets en-route, before the drones and missiles entered the theatre, and the multiple videos showing multiple launches per confirmed interception. -
