this is how that number of people of color grew. just a sales pitch to get them to join and hopes of never having to live the life of a hoodrat with many returning to just that.
some of the things they offer lead to jobs afterwards. especially IT work in the early 2000 but those dried up.
I'v talked to these guys. one guy even told me he would help teach me about IT when it was shifting to cloud but I didn't jump on that opportunity.
