There's a reason why all heavy industry is done in shit hole countries now instead of places like West Virginia or North Dakota because nobody lives in rural communities
Sure you can get a job at a Texas oil patch become a big oil executive but you will never make more money than opening a uranium mine in Zimbabwe or an off shore oil drilling platform or a pipelines that crosses the globe
And what happens when those shit hole countries are all highly developed and nobody lives in these rural resource economy areas, everyone lives in cities and the there's enough logistics to get everything where it needs to go
