    negative.

    its due to speed.

jet engines are more suitable for high speed application and a speed too high would render a drone unoperable unless its self-controlled.

but not for a few kilos of plastic and metal like modern drones. for low thrust application like propelling drones regular aluminum woukd suffice as compressor blades with high bypass design.

you dont need exotic material when theres no souls onboard.

You're a fucking retard. Aluminum has one of the lowest melting points of all metals...and is one of the weakest. And best of all...it's flammable.

So no. No turbine is going to be made out of aluminum.

You literally type random shit in random configurations that make no sense whatsoever.

You need to see a professional about that brain damage you've got going on between your ass cheeks

    ah sed "kompressors", not turbines.

compressor blades are located at the front, before the combustion chambers. you dont compress air to well over 650C° in a tiny jet engine.

whats the minimum speed of a jet engine/

Weren't they shooting down those dorito drones with AA missiles for a while there?

it's possible but they're hard to track given they're made of plastic and foam for low radar cross-section and a 2-stroke motor for low thermal. that and it's not really worth shooting at a $20k drone with a $200k missile unless you know it's headed somewhere it's going to cause serious damage and you have no other options... best option is to use AA artillery like those Gepard guns Germany gave them but it's not always feasible.

in last year's waves of attacks Russia intentionally flooded the air with GERANs to distract air defence and give cover for the more expensive/dangerous missiles; there's not really much you can do about that without layered air defence and early warning. Iran's been experimenting with launching them off racks of 5 or so from the back of a moving pickup, which means they could potentially be coming from anywhere

I'm not sure about NATO but Soviet doctrine has always been to use long-range SAMs like the S-200 in combination with anti-air cannons, the S-200 radar-checks an incoming aircraft to force it to fly low so that it can be engaged by camouflaged AA guns, given that the SAMs are a LOT more expensive to fire. in the future they'll probably stick with a similar doctrine but with more emphasis on AA guns and small, inexpensive missiles - that's largely the purpose of the PANTSIRs nowadays, last I heard they were equipped with short-range anti-drone missiles that were priced at around 10-20k per unit.

When I used to fly in the mid east EVERY preflight brief included if there were any ZSU23s running around since they were the biggest threat for low-level flights (at that time and place)

plastic and foam dont have radar crosssections because they dont reflect radars.

saying plastics and foams have "small" radar cross section is like saying women tuck harder to keep the buldge in their crotch hidden better.
