either that or the rest of europe would just follow the US and refuse to put any feet in poland and make all sort of excuses that suits them.

NATO's effectively just a racket for the US arms industry (since both the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact no longer exist), if member-states start trying to weasel out of their commitments the mask comes off and they're all forced to start considering their own interests -

The US already has boots on the ground in Poland. A detachment of the US Air Force has been permanently based at Łask since November, 2012. Biden just announced permanent US military base in Poland. Elements of the the 82nd Airborne Division are stationed at Rzeszow, Poland, near the border with Ukraine. The Armored Brigade Combat Team, or ABCT, is part of the American forces that came to Poland in 2017. In addition to numerous HQ, control, training units, and even armored detachmentsthat are currently deployed there. In all estimates range between 15000 to 20000 US boots on the ground in Poland with an estimated 1000000 plus stationed elsewhere near Eastern Europe. -

This 'war' could have been over but they make too much money off of it so they're going to milk it as much as they can
