A persons character (on both sides) in the eyes of the law is/should be irrelevant to whether they are guilty of a particular crime or not...it's supposed to be driven by the direct facts of the case...net whether as a kid he pulled the wings off butterflies...again being an asshole isn't a criminal act.

Did he feel his life was in danger, if so then he had the right to defend himself...that's it. All the other shit is lawyer talk trying to sway the Jury.

Does he get to sue Rump for making him think he was a very fine person when he loses?

  4. Well no, calling someone a very fine person isn't slander.

Sigh. That’s not the argument I’m trying to make…

I’m actually saying the vengeance aspect of all of this is prejudicial.

Ask yourself this dumbass. You are in the middle of a riot complete with arson, looting, and death threats, towards you and the people you are with. Then, a guy who has made death threats to you and your group, not once but twice, starts chasing you along with others. As you are running away you hear shots behind you. You stop, turn, point your weapon at Rosenbaum, when he is not deterred and keeps charging, you turn retreat may another 5 or 6 strides, find yourself boxed in by 3 cars with hundreds more rioters on the other side of the cars, turn back towards Rosenbaum, as he lunges and grabs your barrel to disarm you, and you fire the first shot all within the span of just 3.75 seconds and your next 3 in the span of 0.75 seconds.

What would you do in that situation? Would you assume the gunshots were in the air? Would you assume the guy chasing you (the one who had twice threatened to kill you and your friends if he found any of you alone), lunging at you, and trying to grab your weapon did not mean to kill you or cause you great bodily harm? Would you assume all of this in just 3.75 seconds, after dark, outnumbered, and attempting to retreat?

Please just shut up and do not reply.
