   Las Vegas is 2100 feet above sea level but in a valley plateau as well. Reno is like 3800 feet I believe and where I am looking the altitude is 4200 plus feet. but reno is also in a large valley. it's flat and there is desert all around it. Not all deserts are below sea level
   
   Denver is in a valley yet it's exactly a mile high. 5280 feet above sea level. but it's not in the mountains. the mountain range is around it. its mostly flat

   You can buy those pulse-oximeters you know. The one you clip on your middle finger and it will tell you O² saturation, your heart beats per minute and if you have a a fancy one you can see your PQRST cycle, AKA your heart rhythm.
   
   That said any less than 98% O² in your blood and you should be wary. If it goes lower you may be in trouble.

   I thought since you can technically get to the Atlantic ocean from Chicago's great lake. that Chicago is like 6 feet above sea level. It's nearly 400 feet. How in the fuck does that happen? is it like a roller coaster ride out of the lake?
