read what he said...he didn't say "look at this illiterate's posts"...he said "look at this illiterate"

The irony is he's talking about books in a thread about "moving pictures".

Talk about dumb as a rocking chair.

imagine telling people who complain about their apples to eat bananas.

No the string of text is the real thing that was adapted for the TV show. Only an ape mongoloid like yourself would think the real experience is the show

    who cares.

people who watch tv want to be entertainedby moving pictures and sounds, not string of texts. it doesnt matter where the inspiration for the moving images came from.

if its shit its shit and it doesnt matter how geeat the original novel that sprung it is.

    doesnt, fucking, matters.

No it's not, you look at the travel brochure to see where you want to go to get a tan...not in place of it.

You don't read a book to decide if you want to see the movie or not...

    Fucking lol.

people go to the beach because they want to be at a beach. and when the beach sucks it doesnt matter what you tell them to read, be it travel brochures or history books or even old postcards, or even science books on how beaches should be,

BECAUSE IT WONT MAKE THE BEACH SUCKS LESS. IT WILL NOT CHANGE THE SUCKINESS OF THE BEACH.

now go and get me 2 packs of marlboro lights.

    yala yala yala.

No you don't watch a TV adaptation to get the story, you read the actual book. You must think this is the same as reading the book:

If you don't like the beach then fine but you haven't been to the beach, you've only seen the travel brochure and expect it to give you a tan.

no, i dont care what the novel or the book says or what actually transpired IRL,

when i watch tv, i want to be entertained by the sights and sounds that come out of that box of lights and wires.

what inspired it, what its based on, whose life story it was,

    couldnt cared less.

nobody looks at a travel brochure and expect to get tans.

one however, could go to a britsh beach and expect to get a tan but got wetness and water instead.

    Who told you that?

Your logic fails on this topic are amusing...a movie and a book are completely different formats. Anyone with 1/4 of a brain (You seem to not qualify) knows this and knows a movie adaption doesn't claim to be "the same as reading a book"

Holy crap you have to be missing a few brain cells if you believe that.

A movie lasts 1 1/2 to 2hrs usually, that will give you a good enough overview of the story and tell the story in a way a book can't.

A book can take several hours/days to read, that will give you a more in-depth telling of the story in a way a movie can't.

You can enjoy a movie but not the book, likewise you can enjoy the book but not the movie.

Both mediums serve different purposes...you can choose one or the other or BOTH.

I don't need to read a 1000 page book on Ted Bundy when I can watch a 1hr 30min documentary on him and get enough out of it to understand what the plot is.

Hell at school we had to write a book review of our choosing for 30% of our exam, I chose Moby Dick and watched the movie then did my oral presentation as if I'd read the book, I got an A and the English Lit teacher put in my report "he is very good orally"...even then that sounded disturbing.
