Your logic fails on this topic are amusing...a movie and a book are completely different formats. Anyone with 1/4 of a brain (You seem to not qualify) knows this and knows a movie adaption doesn't claim to be "the same as reading a book"
Holy crap you have to be missing a few brain cells if you believe that.
A movie lasts 1 1/2 to 2hrs usually, that will give you a good enough overview of the story and tell the story in a way a book can't.
A book can take several hours/days to read, that will give you a more in-depth telling of the story in a way a movie can't.
You can enjoy a movie but not the book, likewise you can enjoy the book but not the movie.
Both mediums serve different purposes...you can choose one or the other or BOTH.
I don't need to read a 1000 page book on Ted Bundy when I can watch a 1hr 30min documentary on him and get enough out of it to understand what the plot is.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -
2021-07-30 at 6:55 PM UTCHell at school we had to write a book review of our choosing for 30% of our exam, I chose Moby Dick and watched the movie then did my oral presentation as if I'd read the book, I got an A and the English Lit teacher put in my report "he is very good orally"...even then that sounded disturbing.
