someone called the cops, response was "that appears to be in the vicinity of the 'republic of capital hill', they can handle that"

I saw CHAZ described somewhere as

“...Its like Escape From New York, only with way more poop and hypodermic needles”

Im so happy. Couldnt have asked for better meme fodder. I cant wait until the Zone expands and citizens start breaking off into different factions, each with a specific and recognizable dress code. Theyll arm themselves with makeshift weapons and race through the streets to intercept the next airdrop of toilet paper and K-Pods.

    From the subreddit:

Nothing too crazy, its legitimately a bunch of people chilling and having a good time now that the police are gone and tear gas and flashbangs aren't going off whenever they get spooked like a horse. There are some anarchist things going on(ish) but as someone who was there day one, things are slowly getting more organized and different groups are setting up more tables and getting signatures for petitions and providing information for future protests.

I don't think anyone is seriously planning on setting up a self sufficient commune, and while there are guys open carrying no one is extorting businesses, who are mostly all running and seem from lines to be doing probably the best business they have had in months. There was an incident last night with the Raz guy when there are maybe ~20-30~ people at the intersection, but during the day I haven't seen shit go down. Lots of people with kids and dogs and a lot of people who don't speak in public before getting a public forum to say shit and spit out idea's.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I imagined. Doesn't seem organized whatsoever. Looks like some anarchist made that sub and is pushing their own opinions while insinuating unity. "We the people" lol. Should be "Me and like 6 other people".

The loudest mouth reaches the most ears tho. That's why I don't put much stock in the shit aldra has been posting. Twitter isn't news.
