No I'm curious too. "Testing is useless" kinda just means one thing. Will you clarify?

Well you’re saying testing is useless so it follows that we should do zero testing. Is that not what you meant?

Itybit said we shouldn’t open up until we get testing. I replied to that. Say you test me today and I am negative. What good does that do if I get exposed right after and it takes 14 days until I start showing symptoms?

It should have never been open in the first place. MUH boomers muh aeroplanes

So what criteria should we use for opening back up?

Are you admitting testing is useless for opening up?

No. Regardless of the fact that a person who tests negative can still get infected , testing is still the means by which we can measure what's going on.

In an ideal scenario we should test every single person in the world once a week. If we did then this would be over with immediately. Obviously that’s impossible. The next best thing is to test as many people as possible. The more infected people we can track, the more we can isolate them, and the less it will spread. This is how countries like Taiwan and Iceland were able to contain their outbreaks. Widespread testing and tracking.

That’s the first reason why testing is important. The second is it serves as an indicator for when we should reopen the country. If we didn’t test anybody we wouldn’t know how many people have it. There could be one person or one million people. We would have no idea when to open the country back up

Let everyone get infected, the nature immune response will do its job, and the weak will be culled and the strong will carry on. The virus will die out or lose its ability to have wide spread effects.

Yeah but I'm making more money now then I ever have so since everything is about me I think this is just fine and we should continue with the lockdown for as long as possible.

Ok I’ll rephrase. In a situation where we consider lots of people dying as a negative thing, we should test lots of people. Personally I’m all for taking the ol scythe to large swaths of the population. I would rejoice if 70-80% of people were eradicated

i should review the situation a little more before giving a definitive answer, but if i answer to my disposition as it is now- my feelings are that: Each state progress forward accordingly to their "readiness" to do so... seems to be most logical.

but, how do we still approach travel to/fro from one state to another? too many people are not willing to follow rules/restrictions of containment- so, I'm not sure what we should do.

Why would you let the states decide? Trump has the absolute authority to force them to open back up

    and your actual, "point," is...??

    what??

that your stance is...: for letting TRUMP decide? or are you wanting to banter whether or not states should have their own authority to decide for themselves?

    I don’t have a stance I just like pushing people’s buttons 😜
