I guess its not super practical but it's a good loophole around draconian firearm laws. In Canada basically everyone can get rifles and shotguns (unless you have a ban due to convictions) and almost nobody can get restricted. I don't live in the same country as you where the word "felony" doesn't exist. It is likely a violation of firearm laws and the aforementioned friend has since disposed on the piece. It's just an example of the solutions people find when the laws of the country permit stockpiling quantities of single action weapons but not semi or auto. The aforementioned weapon only shot .22s and jammed 2 out of 6 shots. It was just an interesting workaround to me -

Ok what is the legal difference between say, jaywalking and murder. How do you classify the two. Or is there no distinction? Itās just ābreaking the lawā?
But yeah I have machining tools and parts that I could easily use to modify my guns to fully automatic within a few minutes. On a battlefield normally wouldnāt even need full auto though, but maybe have one or two for suppressing fire. Itās just nice to have the option.
Not that I would ever do that, those tools and materials are only used for all legal purposes. Call my lawyer if you have any questions -
